hi,

the "ASTI project" is at the moment being launched at the DOST press
conference in Richmond Hotel (it think --don't know where exactly the venue
is. :) anyway, the project is actually an open source-based desktop solution
software. we're calling it Bayanihan Linux CD. i think some of the members
here were already invited to beta test the CD. if you want a copy, please
visit http://bayanihan.asti.dost.gov.ph downloads section. the open office
will have to be manually installed though because we don't have an rpm for
it yet. there's is actually one but it's for mandrake, we need one for RH.
