One nice thing about windows (hmmm...) is that it complains with a popup if it detects a duplicate IP on the same net. I haven't so far seen any (console or gui) app that does the same thing for linux. So sometimes you're guessing why you can't ping or others can't ping you.... until you realise.... _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
