I've been using mailscanner with Exim as my mail server and F-Prot as my
virus scanner.  The added bonus is that I can use SpamAssassin to catch
spam (93% hit rate on my own mail).  F-Prot is the only commercial
piece, and it cost US$300/year per server.

I put an article up at www.nlug.org about it, which includes links for
all the software pieces.  If you're interested, I can also send you my
Exim configuration file.
