Ever since I figured out where to get the information, I've always entered
custom horizontal and vertical frequency ranges to optimize the settings
for a given monitor. Monitors with manuals available normally have this
information handy. Alternatively there are a couple of monitor information
archives available online that Google churns up when given the right
keywords. :)
