OS: Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (Woody)
kernel 2.2.19ext3 [really, I should think of upgrading sometime]
Window manager while gaming: Does it really matter? I use icewm or sawfish
Game display: Full screen or windowed depending on the game
Graphics API: depends on the game, but I don't use Wine to play games
Graphics card: GeForce 2 MX100 (i think)
Processor: Pentium III (Coppermine) 500E
Memory: 256M (currently have 128M due to a recent hardware disaster)

Games:

Commercial games: RTCW Linux, Quake 3 Linux, Quake 1 and 2 Linux.... hmmm...
I've mainly used the Linux binaries when they're available. I don't play
WindowsXX games under WINE since I decide to reboot into Windows if and when I
want to play WindowsXX only games.

There's a ton of FREE games for Linux that don't require fast iron, and there
are some games that will tax your box regardless of how much money you plunk
into it.

My favorite games happen to be TEXT ONLY multiplayer online RPGs, like
MUSHes/MOOs. I currently play/admin on Among The Stars: TrekMUSH
(http://ats.trekmush.org) and Chiba City MUSH (http://chibacity.erisian.net).

Long time favorites include Zork, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Leather
Goddesses of Phobos, Nethack, cgoban (you need to connect to an Internet Go
server for this), Doom and Quake. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing Neverwinter Nights released! It is supposed to be
shipping with Linux binaries for the client/server.

Some games that I'd like to see ported:
Shogun: Total War, The Operative: No One Lives Forever, Battle Realms
