Hi Gracie,

CYWare is a software development firm that deploys multi-platform solutions
for various businesses. Just wanted to share our list of clients using Linux
as proof that it actually works in a production environment for
misson-critical business applications:

Rustans Commercial Corporation
========================

Rustans is currently piloting their new Loyalty System, CYWare's Simple
Loyalty product. The OS used is RH7.2 and the database server is Postgre
SQL. Their gift certifcate system, discount card system and in-house credit
card system will also run in the same platform/RDBMS. Their database
contains millions of rows and a couple of hundred thousand customers. It is
an on-line/real-time system and Linux was their choice of OS.

They have at least five other systems running Linux but I don't really have
all the details since other vendors implemented those solutions.

Shopwise Supercenter
=================

Shopwise's Accounting System, Executive Information System and Warehousing
System, which were all built in-house, runs on RH7.2 and uses DB2 for Linux.
Their Loyalty system, CYWare's Simple Loyalty, will soon be migrated to
Linux/DB2 soon.

Also, their mail server, proxy server and web mail interface runs on Mandrake
Linux. This was implemented in just one day by QSR (Ian Sison).

Bench/Suyen Inc.
=============

We are about to deploy an inventory system, CYWare's Simple Inventory
product, to all the Bench stores (60 branches) nationwide. The OS used is
also Linux and the RDBMS is PGSQL.

Republic Retailers Inc./Tyler Stores
=========================

Tyler uses a back-end merchandise management system, CYWare's Simple Retail
product, running on RH7.2 and Firebird 1.0.

Of course, we can deploy any of our applications on any platform. Just so
happens that some of our clients prefer Linux - which is good sign that the
OS is entering the mainstream.

From,
Carlos Yu
CYWare Inc.
