Dear Worldcom, Worldcom, too bad for you. You think you could get away with dubious accounting practices just like Enron in cohorts with Arthur Andersen? Now that Enron has been busted, so will you. You cannot get away from window dressing your financial statements and balance sheets, no matter how hard you try. You see, you can get away with it for a certain time, this modified "grand revenue kiting scheme" but auditors will always see your overstated revenues through careful nit-picking. So Worldcom, you're gonna try burning the source documents like Enron? Hahaha, you do that and Wall Street will jump at you like starved cannibals. I hope the Feds' big-gun auditors find another company hiding skeletons in balance sheets, thin-air revenue-creation tricks, bad-debt hiding, and fine-print "disclosures". I hope they do find these companies and their accounting firms. WorldCom and Enron's deception to the financial market is hurting every country's bourses, including ours. Sometimes it makes us think twice about globalization. Sorry Worldcom, the internet can live without you. But the public would like to see the ones responsible for your deception live the rest of their lives in a cell, with orange suits and a large "P" at the back. Serves you right.
