KNOWLEDGE AREAS: a.. Experience in designing and developing software. b.. Ability to work autonomously with little supervision. c.. Experience with the UNIX/Linux operating system. d.. Experience with communications scripting to character interfaces a plus. e.. Multiple programming languages (PERL, C++, Java, etc.) f.. TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, XML knowledge a plus. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: a.. Responsible for scripting and systems programming required to extract data from and write data to automobile dealership management (IT) systems. b.. Work with account representatives to create functional specifications meeting product requirements. c.. Create design and technical specifications. d.. Create communication scripts to write back information to automobile dealership IT systems. e.. Create PERL scripts to parse data and write data to SQL database. PREVIOUS SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE DESIRED: a.. SQL experience. MySQL a plus. b.. 2 years PERL programming. c.. Technical writing experience. d.. Communications scripting a plus e.. Experience with Reynolds ERA or ADP Elite dealership management system a plus. f.. 2 years UNIX/Linux experience. g.. BA/BS degree preferred.
