Judicious use of scoring may be of help. Gnus allows you to raise or lower thread score. Isn't it so cool? =) How do people here manage their e-mail overload, anyway? I have a lot of filters breaking up my mail into different groups. I automatically expire all read messages over a week old that belong to the mailing lists I read, except for a few I like to keep around longer. Not bad - I find the lists quite manageable, although I don't really have any high-traffic lists. I've still to play with scoring, but that would be even more fun.
