Hi!

Yes.

Everything in my LTSP server except as of the moment are Zapping/XawTV,
Xine/MPlayer and Gnomemeeting.

 Do they browse the internet?

Yes.

In my setup, kunti pa lang kasi sa bahay lang eh. Poor lang ako. =(

I use hub but I recommend a switch.

If I only open one w/s, I assume it runs on 100Mbps. Actually, I didn't
checked it as long as I can use Gnome as my desktop environment and other
resource extensive applications that runs simultaneously with a perfect
performance.

I only have:
- Intel Pentium III 800EB Mhz
- 512MB SDRAM PC133
- 500MB
- 20 GB Seagate 7200 RPM
- etc...

> What are the machine specs of your clients?

Iba-iba sa akin.

Mabagal talaga ang OpenOffice 1.0 ngayon but I don't think it will take you
more than a minute to load it. I'm not using KDE anymore in my Mandrake
Linux 8.2 system, I'm purely using Gnome-1.4 at kanina madaling araw lang
ang "partial" na success ko sa pag-upgrade sa Gnome-2.0.

You need more physical memory to your LTSP server. Your workstations
doesn't need high amount of RAM unless you're running local applications.

Yes, I will.

Kahit ilang OpenOffices ang i-open mo sa iba't-ibang workstation mo, still
it only works as one. Try to check it using "top" or "gtop" utility.

You may want to assign one of your workstations to be the print server or
where your printer is attached.

As of now since I don't have enough machines, I'm still using one. But
someday, I hope I can play clustered LTSP servers. You probably need a
clustered LTSP server if you are connecting 100 or more
workstations/machines centralized to it and you have a critical system
running to it. But for a workstations of not more than 50, you can just use
a dual processor or SMP motherboard. But remember, LTSP is more concerned
with the physical memory and not with the processor.

No problem. I won't point you to those websites. But you can visit:
