Hi all!
While running chkrootkit, I got these funny messages:
Checking `aliens'...
/dev/xmx /dev/xdta
/usr/bin/sourcemask
and...
Searching for suspicious files and dirs, it may take a while...
/usr/lib/linuxconf/install/gnome/.directory
/usr/lib/linuxconf/install/gnome/.order
/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux/.packlist
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux/auto/MD5/.packlist
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux/auto/Curses/.packlist
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux/auto/Term/ReadKey/.packlist
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux/auto/Gimp/.packlist
/usr/man/man1/.. /usr/man/man1/.. /.dir
/usr/man/man1/... /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/.rhkmvtag
What does /usr/bin/sourcemask do anyways? I checked it with rpm and it
doesn't seem to be part of any package in my database. And what about
/dev/xmx and /dev/xdta ?
Also, does it mean that the files in the second error message are all
"suspicious"? Or is this just a listing of the files that were checked?
Thanks in advance! God bless!
