The Oracle CD comes with JDK 1.1.8 which is sufficient to run the 
installer.

Yes. Read the terms and conditions at technet.oracle.com. For development 
it's OK. But for deployment.. get yourself a license (NB: I *do* have a 
license, don't go running to the BSA..  ;)
