I've been testing Firebird(Interbase) as our database manager,
Ive been trying to look for How-to's for the Said software but unfortunely
was'nt able to find one. i hope anyone could help me out on this

this reminds me. i don't use interbase, so i don't know if the ff
is true. certainly i haven't tested it. [EMAIL PROTECTED] (email
address provided for easier searching if you want to see the original
source and exploit source) reports a local root export for interbase
as shipped on the Cobalt Raq (apparently interbase is suid by
default).
see the bugtraq archives. the relevant post came in today.
