hello all,
i have a weird behavior in X that i'd like to run past everyone
in case anyone has seen it before.
I am using XFree 4.x, KDE, Mandrake 8.2 on a Dell notebook.
normally click and drag (icons, windows, scrollbars) works
perfectly. however, when i suspend the computer (i do that
a lot, since it's more convenient for when i'm transporting
the computer, no reboot and slow KDE startup at the other end)
and then wake it up again, click and drag doesn't work anymore.
it's sufficient to logout and login again (oh yeah, i use
kdm). after that, click and drag works again. i'd like
to avoid having to logout though, because of the aforementioned
slow KDE startup and other inconveniences (open windows in
the browser, possibly i might have win4lin up in window
mode (not full screen) and starting up win4lin takes some
time too.
has anyone come across this? are there X or KDE tweaks
for this? i'd ask google, but i'm not online as i
write this, and i think i don't know the magic words to
extract an answer from google anyway.
thanks for any pointers.
