hi! maybe your dvd drive is locked! (region). a dvd player is allowed to switch to diff. regions 5 times (i think). and it will then be locked! try it on any WINDOWS machine (sorry folks) and try to unlock it! i think this will work coz ur dvd player is still working right?( can read cd's afterall)... BTW, what is the model and manufacturer of your DVD drive? i think i can help you on that.
