I'm not user about the Mozilla that came with 8.0, RedHat 8.0 probably has the non Xft version. If you want Xft, you need to download the necessary packages from the following URL: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/experimental/xft/Red_Hat_7x_RPMS/1.0/ There's a folder with i386 binaries, but I suggest you download the SRPMS and rebuild it in your system. Plus you need to edit /usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0/res/Xft to add all of the folders containing Truetype fonts that you want to include. Note, the RPMS are Mozilla 1.0 only (Red Hat 8.0 includes Mozilla 1.0 anyway). If you want to try the latest nightly builds with Xft enabled try going here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/experimental/xft/ And select the folder of the one with the latest date. Take note, they're not RPMs but tar.gz. You have to extract 'em on a folder and run Mozilla fron there.
