FWIW I have a bunch if mail still stuck in my outgoing queue for a certain [EMAIL PROTECTED] subscribed to the CompSci list at free.net.ph due to connection timeout issues. > I was wondering: Do mailing lists have some sort of "back-off" > property whenever it encounters bounced mails for a certain period of > time? It probably does, but it's quite strange that I've been able to > receive mails from the MLs, just not complete. Most mailing list management software will handle bounce-back reports from the MTA and will flag user so that he/she won't receive mail if a certain threshold is reached. You can check your account settings to see if you are flagged with a no-mail attribute or something to that effect. I did a query and the MX for ceruleansoftware.com is 203.131.108.204, which being on the ePLDT network I can reach (ping) quite easily. Connections to port 25 fail though. They time out after not getting a reply. I notice that 203.131.108.204 is adsl-131.108.204.info.com.ph. I hope this is a static IP address. I have a slight hunch it's part of the block that PLDT gives out dynamically for MyDSL users. --> Jijo -- Federico Sevilla III : http://jijo.free.net.ph : When we speak of free Network Administrator : The Leather Collection, Inc. : software we refer to GnuPG Key ID : 0x93B746BE : freedom, not price. _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
