You will need a means to identify the user on the network. Either you 1. force http-only service and enable proxy authentication so that the squid log files tag each user, of which you can use a multitude of squid summary scripts available on the internet. 2. force a static ip per user and use ntop to monitor each IP address for its bandwidth consumption. you can find locations for squid programs and ntop in the freshmeat.net search engine. _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
