i'm also looking for a dreamweaver version / equivalent on linux
but nothing comes close to its wysiwyg gui.

i even signed an online petition for porting dreamweaver
to linux.

me too :-). I don't know for sure if there's a Dreamweaver for OS X. If it does, then it's not far away from being ported to Linux (hopefully!).

For now, I am using Dreamweaver inside Win98 in Win4Lin 3.0 atop Mandrake 8.2. It's a good combination, especially when WINE or Crossover Office/Wine is still struggling to run other Windoze apps. What's even cooler is having this Win4Lin session run like another separate client computer inside Linux, with it's own IP address. In Linux, I can run an Apache server, then connect this "virtual client computer" to the Apache server, all in one machine. Really cool way to develop web client-server apps.

What features do you like in Dreamweaver?
