Have you tried to verify $PATH if /usr/local/sbin
directory is included. This usually happens when you
try to change user using "su " command. I help this

>i installed qmail on a RH7.1 and downloaded qmailctl
>now when i try to
> restart using qmailctl hup,
reload, >restart etc. the error message is
> command not found. when i
downloaded >qmailctl i move it to
> /var/qmail/bin
> then i type chmod +x
>/var/qmail/bin/qmailctl then link it to ln -s
> /var/qmail/bin/qmailctl
>/usr/local/sbin thanks for your help.
