My apologies go to the entire list for the off-topic threads that seem to crop up in here once a year or something like that.
Mandatory Emacs plug: C-k kills and scores down whole threads, so you can get rid of boring, off-topic threads like that easily. In fact, you can use Emacs to score down all messages that include "sacha" in them, although I'd rather that you neutralized that for messages coming from me. ;) I think all mail clients have a way to do this - if not, there's always procmail. =) That aside, I have been busily trying to get Debian running on my sweet new Fujitsu Lifebook P1110. For archival purposes, here's the boot string I needed to pass to the Debian installer: linux root=/dev/sda ide0=ata66 ide1=ata66 and I used modified 2.4.18 boot floppies for USB support. These images are available on the Net (google for debian usb floppy install), and I'll probably put up a mirror soon. Looks like everything's working out. -- Sacha Chua <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - 4 BS CS Ateneo geekette interests: emacs, linux, wearables, teaching compsci _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
