I also use kppp. On a side note, I recently upgraded to Mandrake 9.0 but ran into trouble configuring kppp. I can connect to the internet but I cannot surf. I was stumped for a moment wondering why. I was tempted to look at shorewall's config and iptables, but gut feel tells me to look at kppprc first before mucking up anything. Indeed, I saw kppprc with these default entries for DNS. DNS=203.127.225.11,203.127.225.10,203.177.82.130 I removed the DNS values and everything was fine. I also installed Mandrake on other machines, and these DNS entries appear in kppprc as defaults. Whew, some Mandrake developer must have forgotten to blank these DNS values. Is there any global reference file (comparably like the template in /etc/skel/) that kde looks up to create a new user's kppprc? I suspect that these DNS values are there somewhere in that global template config file. Thanks. mikol _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
