Hmm? Microsoft Corp. has already made, and issued to the public, one piece of Linux software, and it's proprietary, not open-source. http://linuxmafia.com/pub/linux/apps/netshow_linux.html http://linuxmafia.com/pub/linux/apps/netshow_linux Oracle, Informix, Sybase, IBM, Solid, Software Impressa, and a number of other companies produce SQL databases for Linux, all proprietary. There's only one major SQL database that doesn't have a Linux version -- MS-SQL Server. What reason do you have for thinking that a Linux version of MS-SQL Server would be open source? I ask because it's possible that you've thought of some reason I haven't, and would appreciate your explaining. -- Cheers, "Azathoth need not be present to win." Rick Moen -- Charles O.
