good day! i think the requirements that linuxpackages pertain to the connection speed of your network to the world (internet). they do not recommend anything equal to or less than the bandwidth of DSL or Cable Modem connections. they say this is so because the connection quality is very poor, and the transfer rates take unstable turnarounds - maybe based on experience from previous endaevors (aka linuxmafia.org)
anyway, i dont think it would matter to linuxpackages.net if you hosted your website in some particular OS -- just so that the packages can be reliably accessed from the outside world. if it wont be too much a hassle for you, i might email you some packages that i have created (if they are within the 5MB transfer limit of my smtp provider) or if you're willing to grant me access via ftp to your host, i just might do so. although i think the latter is a bit too much to ask. thanks for the offer! i hope we can work something out. ;) -- -=[mikhail]=- _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
