you can try:
$ ipchains -A input -p tcp -b -s 0.0.0.0/0 1214 -d
a.b.c.d/24 -j DENY
replace the a.b.c.d to your network block. dont
worry once kazza is block,
they will figure out that other p2p sharing
application is much better than kazaa
like ???tella.
maybe you can also try to block kazaa ip using
iptables, im not sure if this work:
$ iptables -I INPUT kazaa's ip -d 0/0 -j
DROP
the other option is to drop port 80 and
force
your users to use proxy.
she best solution to this is to inform your
users of having a fair computer use
policy. save yourself from headache of trouble and talk to upper management about setting up a guideline with disciplinary action. some users though will simple stop using it if they understand that it negatively affects the network connection and are told politely that it's against the rules. --- Glynn ---
