Currently, I develop all my apps using MySQL with PHP as my front-end. So
far, every need that I've had has been supported. I've developed a
small-scale CMS, some project related monitoring tools, and an activity
planning tool on these platforms. I chose MySQL because I found it a lot
easier moving my data around from platform to platform. So with PHP, I never
had to modify my scripts when changing operating systems.
