Hi to All,

Is there a way to redirect all temporary files/directories of each
user when they login in KDE- GUI mode from our NFS server users home
directory to any of the local machines directories? Our NFS/NIS server is
running on Red Hat 6.2 and all workstation/client is running on Red Hat
8.0. We have set a disk quota for each user on our server, and we would
like to save that disk space. The /home directory of our server is
mounted on each workstation thru NFS and the user's login and password is
also bind in our server thru NIS. So whenever the user log-on to
workstation using the KDE-GUI mode, all the applications temporary file is
created in our server in each users home directory, thus it consume the
user's disk space. Some of the temporary files/directories are
./openoffice - for Open Office application (this creates at least 1.5 MB
from the start of opening. Not included the other programs like "Impress"
which is equivalent to MS Power point.); .kde for KDE; .netscape.

Thanks!
Bernie
