Honestly, you simply have to keep a DOS floppy around for such things. I keep a dd image of one, because of course the media tend to go bad when you need them most. You might be able to get away with using a FreeDOS (open source) or DR-DOS (proprietary; licensed for non-commercial use, I think) floppy -- but you'd be left feeling a bit silly if the firmware-updating program crashed and left your hardware unusable. -- Cheers, "Why is the alphabet in that order?
