Additional thought.

There are some companies now which provide "service" to ensure that your
message gets past SpamAssassin and company.

As Paul Graham stated, the best solution is a Bayesian classifier on a
*per user* basis -- that way, spammers can never "optimize" their messages
to get past a global classifier.

And how do we do this? get Mozilla 1.3a -- the mail client has built-in
Bayesian filtering. I sincerely hope Mozilla 1.3a or its Netscape
equivalent will become the Outlook killer and in the process kill spam as
well.
