there are some free (as in beer, not as in freedom) windows software you can download to do that. but it only works if the original filesystem is 'understandable' e.g. FAT32, NTFS, etc. i once reformatted a partition using mkreiserfs. the software i downloaded actually managed to recover some of the data, but it was badly mangled. --- Orlando Andico <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mosaic Communications, Inc. _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
