We are trying to replicate a production server to create a test server.
The reason we need the 7 version is that
1. the application version that runs on top of suse is certified only for version 7.
2. there is a need to have an exact software copy of production to test so
that any patches, revisions, upgrade testing carried out on test
can be a reliable basis for applying the same patch, revisions and/or upgrade to production.

would you know if suse 7 has any issues with the IBM xSeries 205/Pentium 4 processor?
we have tried several suse copies already and we are always encountering an error.
Could be media problem or could be hardware compatibility issue.
In case of the latter, we would have no choice but go with a higher version of suse.
