hi. we're running linux 8.0 on a dell power-edge. the bios reports a dual P3-1.8GHz but the kernel says it has 4! i'm at a loss as to explain the extra two. has anybody encountered this? i've included contents of /proc/cpuinfo. i wonder why the first two processors have the same physical processor ID. is this a misconfiguration somewhere? i cant look at the bios myself as the machine is co-located offshore.
