Ah yes, Motorola. In another mailing list, I expressed my misgivings not about
Linux on the phone but what Motorola would do with it. E.g., for a long time,
incoming text messages reflected only the phone number of the sender, even if
you had his or her name in your phonebook. For that reason, it didn't take me
long to feel unhappy about my StarTAC 80, w/c at that time cost me almost
15,000 clammers. Motorola eventually learned how to associate the incoming
phone number with an entry in the phone book, but ForPete'sSake, that should've
been a no-brainer. Still, I'd be interested in how Motorola fares with this
one. The hardware sure looks attractive -- GPRS, Bluetooth, 16-bit color, MP3,
a camera. Just hoping that Motorola has managed to learn the basics of user
interface design, and better yet that it's surpassed the basics. For example,
the Treo 270 has some nice little touches that make the device a joy to use.

Mabuhay.
