gari should also make sure that he has the following line in his
/etc/apt/sources.list to ensure that he's abreast with security
updates.

  deb http://security.debian.org/ woody/updates main contrib non-free

he -might- want to add:

  deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian woody-proposed-updates main
contrib non-free
