I recommend gqview more than pixieplus. Gqview is lightweight and fast. Pixieplus is also okay and fast, but I subjectively dislike the fairy thingie in the preview pane (The developer -- Mosfet -- is gay kasi). Why do I enjoy using gqview? The color-toning algorithms and zoom/scaling algorithms are top-notch! You can zoom in/out very extensively in gqview, and the program is able to correctly anti-alias and accurately soften the edges of stepping pixels without compromising the image's sharpness. It is also able to preview in fullscreen mode. Functionality-wise, Pixieplus is more capable. For me, correct image-rendering and dithering are the features that make me choose gqview. Gqview can also render correct flesh tones better than any other program. Looking at Zhang Zi Yi's zoomed-in angelic face in gqview can somehow make you wonder if that's the real Zhang Zi Yi staring at you back with an immense mystery in her eyes.
