[plug] debugging kernel dump

hi.  it's not often that a kernel will crash.  if it does, it pays to be 
prepared.  are kernel dumps directed to a file?  what is the file?  if it is 
not, how can i configure the system to dump kernel dumps to a file?  also, 
how do i go about debugging the kernel dump?
