bwahahahaha! you can all bow down to my ancient, deprecated, binary-driver-only, Aureal Vortex2! yes, i will have to buy a new sound card when 2.6 comes out. Yes, i have to compile 2.4 with gcc-2.96 because the binary-only module breaks with gcc-3. but i get 256 sound devices! bwahahahaha! (/dev/dsp0 -- /dev/dsp255) and they're mixed in hardware! :P (yes, it's a pain to use, and yes, i have to use setpci to tweak the PCI bus master settings because otherwise the %$^%# card locks the computer *HARD* by doing bus contention with the Nvidia video card) --- Orlando Andico <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mosaic Communications, Inc. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
