There's something weird going on there.. X always has consumed lots of 
RAM.. but solely because it mmap()'s the AGP aperture region into its 
process space. Here's what I get:

as you can see my SIZE is even bigger than yours. But the resident size is 
quite small. I am using RedHat9 with anti-aliasing too. Maybe it's an 
artifact of the shared-memory setup of the SiS chip.
