More like an "editor for masochists and eccentrics" if
you ask me. Linus Torvalds thinks Emacs is a disaster - you
can't say he isn't a smart person. Apologies in advance
to Emacs fans everywhere, hehehe. (Hey I did try to learn
it and even posted a - sorely needed for beginners everywhere
- Emacs Quickstart guide here at PLUG.) It's just too d_mn
hard to get used to those Tekken-like keystrokes unless you
use it everday.

I use it once in a blue moon to do some stuff I can't
get done with other editors - but can't help but be
turned off by its eccentric user interface when it
comes to doing everyday editing.

Who knows? After another couple of years, I might
edge yet a teeny-bit closer to liking this Swiss Army
Knife of a text editor. The more used to it I get, the
less turned off I become. But the process is proceeding
at a glacial pace. :-D
