i've noticed that japanese companies that are outsourcing(?)
their embedded linux requirements in the phils are increasing!
more linux jobs!!! =)

and to think of it, jap companies embraces the idea of open-source
more than we do.

ex.

- recently, some of these companies (Hitachi, Matsushita, NEC,
Sharp, Sony, and Toshiba) formed a Consumer Electronics
Linux Forum. (http://www.celinuxforum.org)
- Sony supports Linux on their PS2 game console
(http://www.jp.playstation.com/linux/)

   - Mitsubishi & Fujitsu are using Linux on their Robots!
      http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/54/29995.html)

   - iirc accdg to ms. ivy cabeza, a japanese is doing the
     PH Locale for gnu/linux (?)

*sorry for the OT, i'm just happy for us Filipinos. =)
