Dear fellows:

I got this error when setting up and testing a Samba PDC.
smb/service.c:make_connection(599) 192.168.0.29 (stud19) cannot change
to directory /home/netlogon (Permission denied).

The setup:
The server is using Mandrake 9.1. The client is Windows XP Pro. The
registry hack to the client was applied, prior. The client can logon and
the home directory student19 can be accessed, read, write.

The intention
On the server, I have a login script to make available network shares. I
have a future purpose of pushing some user specific settings to clients,
through this script. The script is just simple for configuring and
testing purposes.
net time //SMBSERVER -y
net use P://SMBSERVER/public
net use H://SMBSERVER/cdrom

The Samba server cannot serve this script due to the error above.

What was done so far
I used the command chmod /home/netlogon 0754. I tried changing ownership
of the directory from root to student19.

Help please
I know I am missing something but do not know what. Please tell me what
I am missing.

Thanks in advance.

Art
