which reminds me, and i'm aware of the threads that consider it an
oxymoron, but does anyone know of a moderated full-disclosure
list? i know that kurt seifreid used to have one. but it seems that
the list isn't on his list server anymore so i guess he turned it off.

are there any others? basically i'm looking for a list that filters
out the pissing contests. so all the advisories and exploits (probably
no matter how trivial, although maybe the ridiculous shouldn't go
through) get approved as soon as they arrive, but pissing contests
don't get approved. and even if some early low quality posts
go through, threads generally die as moderators agree among
themselves to let them die.

heh, i had another question about mailing list software and
moderation mechanisms for many moderators. but i'll keep
that for later. or maybe i'll forget it :).

btw, sorry for any duplicate postings. i unsubscribed and subscribed
(when the mailing list seemed down) and i've not yet completely
set up kmail to use the right email address (i'm a little confused since
some default behavior seems to have changed from the kmail that
came with Mandrake 9.0, am investigating what the new default
behavior is by experiment) so sometimes i send with the wrong
email address (and the email gets approved by the moderator)
and in the meantime i'll have sent the email through already with
the right address (hoping the moderator sees the duplicate and
doesn't approve the previous one). heh. making life hard for
moderators. ok, i see now why being moderator should be a
paid position :).
