We, the BSIT III Blk. 1 will be organizing a seminar in partial
> fulfillment of the requirements of the subject Principles on Operating Systems on
> the second week of September. It will be held at the Justo Albert Auditorium,
> Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila from 1:00 - 5:00 PM. We have chosen the Linux to be
> the topic of the seminar.
A specific distribution, if preferred by the speaker would be possible.
As far as we know Linux is an operating system that can run on a pc just like
Windows. But unlike the latter, it gives additional power which we are not so familiar
about and it's free. We believe this is an interesting topic to discuss since only
few students have knowledge on this system software and we want to know more about
this. It will be participated by 300 students and some faculty members from College of
Engineering and Technology.
In line with this, we are requesting for some help from you by providing us a
speaker/s that will discuss this topic. Below is the programme of the event
prepared by the group.

> 3:30 - 4:00 Open Forum and Q & A
> 4:00 - 4:15 Awarding of Plaque of Appreciation and Gifts
> 4:15 - 4:30 Closing Remarks
> 4:30 - 5:00 Reception
