To be honest, Microsoft is not losing market share at all, except for a bit in the server realm (but certainly not an alarming rate (of course, no rate of loss for them would alarm me)). Anyway, they have $50B in the bank, they don't care about the $6M that they paid SCO. To put that in perspective, if you had $50,000 in the bank and someone wanted $6, you probably wouldn't mourn your loss. They're obviously worried about the future, as they should be, but the present is mighty rosy for them. Munich is the first large brick in a crumbling wall.
