I'd heavily suggest we do away with the time consuming, flustering, nerve-racking attempts to teach dselect :D Sure it is simple to use... but easy? At least nowadays we don't need it anymore as a main method of getting a Debian-based installation installed. Sacha's approach is much easier to grasp, and does away with the horrors that elect to come by default with dselect. If dselect would be used, I'd rather use it as a reference for what packages can be installed, and I'd just run it as a non-root user. That is, until you get to install aptitude :-) > i wonder if there's an X and intuitive version of dselect... hmmm... Why need one when there are more intuitive front ends that already exist? :D -- -->paolo Paolo Alexis Falcone [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] _____________________________ Philippine Free Network Group free.net.ph -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
