here's an alternative (aside from parsing the registry using a script) for belarc:
it's called AIDA32. it's a FREEWARE (registration is required for commercial 
use which  is also _free_). you can download it at http://www.aida32.hu/

*the beauty of using AIDA32 is that you can customize the report (text, 
  html,etc.).
