hi guys,

my problems are:
1) when i mount my winxp so that i can see it in
linux, an error message is displayed. it says that my
kernel does not support it. what will i do?

check ur distribution :
for redhat goto http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/ and install the rpm
for debian just apt-get install smbfs

2) i try configuring my soundcard but to no avail. my
sound card was detected but when a sample signal is
sent, i cant hear anything and the terminal "hangs
up", so what i do is to press Ctrl-C to terminate. sometimes, it displays "Segmentation failed." what
will i do?
