It may or may not work. But you risk screwing your BIOS such that your
motherboard will no longer boot.

That fact also came to mind.... That's why I did not yet try such a setup....



Whether you are using Linux or any other OS there is nothing wrong
with
using a Dos boot disk to flash your BIOS.

It's not that I find it wrong or offensive to use DOS when flashing our BIOS... but the fact is, ever since we started to computerize, most or all of our software are Opensouce/FreeSoftware. :-)


Thus we may not have any leagal access to MS-DOS.... especially in the light of the new MS licensing agreement (... OS is bundled w/ hardware...non-transferable) :-\
