well, setting up a linux wireless network is not that hard especially if you already have experienced in setting up wired network. the main problem is finding a wireless device supporting HostAP mode. fortunately, i have the older version of D-Link DWL-650 and it works perfectly as a linux accesspoint..
Now a days, WiFi hot spots are becoming more common..... It would be nice to try/ experiment using linux
to access a WiFi hot spot provider or set-up a home/office WiFi hot spot..... :-)
I read a HOWTO about setting up a Linux Wireless network.... It gave a warning that setting up a
wirless Linux network much much harder than setting up a Linux wired network... is this still true this days? :-\
I/We are plannning to set up our Linux box to allow a Tungsten C or A530+ to access it through WiFi.....
pBy the way are there any gnu/linux ports that run on PDAs (Tungsten C in particular)? ;-)
Thanks
