They(that institute) didn't ask permission from Red Hat. And they did say that 2 people from Red Hat already approached them regarding that issue. Which is in fact not true, they were reasoning out that they've already talked with the Red Hat guys about this.

Hint: Try going to Megamall and look for some institute there.

The only sad thing that concerns me is they are misleading people, marketing strategy on the go. just like Red Hat i guess :D

Hi All,

Is there any legal law or issue about using some linux logos on offered
training courses without permission from the company that owns the
distribution?

Redhat, SuSe and Mandrake packages says that their logos are Copyrighted,
All rights reserved. It could mean that you should ask them for permission
if you're gonna use their logo, or you might want to put a disclaimer
underneath saying "foobar logos are registered trademarks of foobar". But
I think its appropriate that you ask Redhat, SuSe, and Mandrake
personally, they should be able to answer your question. By the way, if
you like you could just use TUX(the linux penguin), the author says you
could use it, integrate it, change it, etc. in other words its like
opensource... :)
